Rammstein

Rammstein is a German NDH (German - Neue Deutsche Härte, pronounced noy-uh doy-chuh her-tuh) band formed in Berlin in 1994. In addition to their heavy sound, the band is distinguished by a noticeable presence of a large dose of theatricality and dramatism in their music, reinforced by prominent electronic keyboards. The structure of the songs is similar, consisting of heavy, choppy riffs repeated throughout most of the song against a backdrop of chaotic keyboards and a chorus that most often repeats the same phrase.

Worldwide, over 25 million copies of their albums have been sold. The lyrics are aggressive, dark, sometimes vulgar and overtly sexual, and often naturalistic or grotesque. Love themes also appear, but are most often presented from their dark side. The vocals are mainly minor and raw, almost entirely in German. The band's latest album (Zeit) was released at the end of April 2022.
