Jurassic World is a 2015 science fiction film directed by Colin Trevorrow and is part of the popular "Jurassic Park" series, created by Michael Crichton and launched with the eponymous 1993 film by Steven Spielberg.

The events in Jurassic World take place 22 years after the original film. On Isla Nublar, a fully functional dinosaur park – Jurassic World – has finally been created, a tourist attraction where people can see DNA-resurrected dinosaurs.

When scientists create a new, genetically modified dinosaur – Indominus rex, things get out of control. The creature is smarter, stronger, and more dangerous than anything humans had expected. The park falls into chaos.

Main characters:

  • Owen Grady (played by Chris Pratt) – a former military man and velociraptor trainer.

  • Claire Dearing (played by Bryce Dallas Howard) – the park's operations manager.

The film combines action, adventure, and thriller elements. Its success led to the creation of sequels:

  • Jurassic World: Dominion (2022)
